Remember to keep a 2 meter distance from others, only 1 person in the lift at the same time, and please follow public health advise (click to enlarge).

Deep-cleaning stairwells

The apartment stairwells will be deep cleaned and sterilized next week. On Monday 23rd March cleaning contractors will start and while each stairwell is cleaned, that particular stairwell will be closed for that day and night.

There will always be 1 or 2 stairwells open during cleaning, so please follow the signs and directions at all times and don’t use the stairwell when it’s closed. When cleaning is finished, all signs will be removed. This will probably be Wednesday 25th.

Fire Alarm Activation

It’s important NOT TO SMOKE in the stairwells and lifts because this will activate the Fire Alarm!

Fire Alarm Upgrade

Next week the Fire Alarm in the apartment complex will be upgraded. Contractor Liam Power Electrical will start the work on Monday 27th January 2020 and is expected to last 4-5 days.

Evening and night security staff will be here to make sure everything is safe while the alarm is not active.

The heat sensors and alarm sounders in the hallway of all the apartments will need to be replaced and for this we need access to your apartment!

Water supply interruption

clip_image001Due to water maintenance works in Maritana Gate, there shall be NO WATER SUPPLY TO THE APARTMENTS on Monday 6th January 2020 between 9 am and 3 pm.

During this time residents CAN NOT USE ANY WATER and all taps, washing machines, dish washers and showers should be turned off. Toilets should not be flushed during these hours.

It’s vital that all taps and other water outlets are kept closed. Sometimes when people turn on taps and there is no water, they forget to close the taps properly. Then when the water comes back on, water will come through the open taps and could cause flooding.

If normal water supply is not returned by 3.30 pm, tenants should immediately inform the concierge and still keep their taps turned off. The Maritana Gate Management Company or their contractor can’t accept liability for taps or water outlets opened during maintenance works, which could cause airlocks, flooding or other problems.

New intercom

The installation of the new intercom system for the apartments is finished. Please test your intercom and let the concierge know if there are any faults.

New intercom operation

To call an apartment with the new intercom system, please press the top middle button (see red arrow). This will display the phonebook, a list of all apartments.

Scroll through the list with the up and down arrow buttons and select the correct apartment. Then press the same top middle button again and it will ring that apartment. If you know the correct apartment number, you can also enter the apartment number and then press the “Bell” button (right bottom).

Inside the apartment, use the intercom handset to answer the call, and the key-button to remotely unlock the pedestrian gate and/or lift door.

Key cards check

locked outBy default key cards expire on the 31st December of the year after being programmed. If you’re unsure if your key card was programmed or updated in the last year, it’s wise to have your card checked and updated in the concierge’s office.

The concierge’s office will be closed between Christmas Eve and 2nd January 2020, so if your key card is to expire on the 31st December 2019, you’d be locked out after midnight.

New Key Cards

Because we had to change suppliers, it took longer than before and unfortunately the price for the new key cards has gone up to €10 each.

Key cards can be purchased at the concierge’s office.

New Intercom

intercom phoneInstallation for a new intercom system in the apartment complex by Bluewall Technologies will start on Wednesday 23rd October 2019.

In order to install new intercom phones in all the apartments, day-time access will be necessary. The old intercom phone in the living room will be removed and a new one will be installed and tested. We will first do the apartments where people are at home.

If you’re not going to be at home during day hours in the week from 23rd – 30th October 2019, please get in touch with the concierge so that access to your apartment can be agreed/arranged.

If we cannot get into your apartment you will not be able to use the new intercom system, so please call over, email maritanagate.waterford@gmail.com or phone the concierge at 051 857831.

If you leave a day-time telephone number, I will call to discuss how and when access to your apartment will be possible.
