By default the Maritana Gate key cards expire on the 31st December of the year after they’ve been programmed. If you’re unsure if your key card has been programmed or updated in the last year, it would be wise to have it checked and updated in the concierge’s office before Saturday 22nd December. It only takes a few seconds and there is no cost.
The concierge’s office will be closed between Christmas and the 2nd January 2019 so if your key cards were to expire on the 31st December 2018, you’d be locked out after midnight on New Year’s Eve. You could phone Security for access, but they charge a €30 call out fee, so it pays to have your key cards checked in time.
