In preparation of next month’s switchover to digital TV in Ireland, Soarview approved receivers have been installed yesterday.
Tenants with televisions in their apartments do not need individual Soarview decoders. Since yesterday the central signal provided to the apartments has been switched to digital, so no equipment is needed to continue watching the Irish TV channels after the digital switchover on 24th October 2012.
The only thing tenants may have to do, is to re-tune their TV channels. This is usually done in the “Set Up” menu on the TV. The switch over won’t affect tenants with SKY boxes.
